CryoPen
The Cryopen is an advanced medical-grade cryotherapy treatment that can safely treat and remove moles, warts/plantar warts, seborrhoeic keratosis, keloids, skin tags, verrucas, pigmentation, age spots, sun damage, molluscum, lentigo, and dermatofibroma at the skin clinic in Beaconsfield. It is unlikely that your GP or NHS will remove these skin lesions, as they are deemed to be cosmetic treatments. However, at Skin Revision, it is a satisfactory way to professionally remove these blemishes with minimal discomfort.
What is CryoPen?
CryoPen is one of the most advanced forms of cryotherapy used in the medical world today. Targeted nitrous oxide (reaching temperatures as low as minus 89 degrees) freezes off the vessel to such an extent that it causes cell and capillary “die-off.” No harm is done to any area outside the area that is being treated.

How long does it take to see the results?
That depends on the size of the mole, skin tag, wart, verruca, or other skin issue. It also depends on the roots of the particular skin problem and your body’s ability to break down and release the remains naturally through the lymphatic system. It may take up to 3 treatments, but a noticeable difference is usually seen after just one treatment.
At what age can children be treated for Warts and Verrucas?
Children from age 6 can be treated for warts and verrucas, but the parent or guardian does need to be present at the clinic to sign the consent forms and be present during treatment. You need to be over 10 years of age to have a mole removed.
What Skin concerns can be treated with CryoPen?

Does CryoPen treatment hurt?
You will notice an extreme cold sensation due to the cryotherapy. However, the coldness, like an ice cube, is only on the treated area, and you will find that you get used to the sensation within a few seconds. It does not hurt but may feel just a little numb for a few seconds.
Can children or teenagers be treated with CryoPen?
Children from the age of 6 years old can be treated for skin tags, warts, and verrucas with CryoPen. Up to the age of 18 years old, the children will need to be in the presence of their parent or guardian. Moles can be treated on children over the age of 14, but a parent or guardian will need to be present and sign the necessary consent forms. The mole needs to be benign before treatment. This can be proven with a doctor’s note or confirmation from a dermatologist via the dermoscopic image taken at the clinic, (if the individual is over 18)

Yes. All moles can only be treated with sight of a letter from the doctor showing the mole to be benign. Moles can also be treated if the dermascopic images taken at the clinic and passed over to the dermatologist are proven to show the mole to be benign.
