Polynucleotides – Beaconsfield
Polynucleotides is a non-invasive injectable skin rejuvenation treatment that regenerates the skin cells and produces a dramatic but subtle new appearance to the skin that is brighter, hydrated, plumper, smoother, and re-textured. Polynucleotides work quickly on all areas of the face and neck by stimulating the production of the skin’s collagen and elastin. What are Polynucleotides?
The polynucleotides (PN) that we use are derived from salmon DNA. Salmon DNA has unique and beneficial properties that closely resemble those found in human skin tissue. This makes them ideal for those wishing to stimulate cellular regeneration, enhance hydration, and support their overall skin health.
What areas of the body can be treated?
Polynucleotide treatments can be used on a variety of areas to address multiple skin concerns, such as:
- Face: To treat fine lines, wrinkles, and skin texture.
- Neck and Décolletage: To combat signs of aging in delicate areas.
- Hands: To restore youthful volume and reduce skin thinning.
- Under-Eye Area: To rejuvenate tired, dark under-eye circles.
- Scalp: To improve hair growth and prevent hair thinning.
Are Polynucleotides better than Profhilo?
Polynucleotides are similar to Profhilo and other skin boosters, but contain different properties. They can work on more areas, including all around the eyes as well as the chest and scalp. PNs can also work on sun damage. Just like Profhilo, the PNs will give a wonderful glow and plumpness to the skin, but they also significantly improve the skin’s texture, as well as smooth out fine lines above the lips and around the eyes. The results tend to last 6-9 months, depending on the quality and age of the skin being treated, whereas Profhilo would generally show results for around 3 months.
What is the downtime, and are there contraindication
Polynucleotide treatments are minimally invasive, and most of our patients can return to their normal activities immediately after the procedure. There might be some mild redness, swelling, or tenderness at the treated areas, but these effects typically subside within a few hours or a day. However, there are some contraindications to be aware of:
- Pregnancy or Breastfeeding: Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding due to lack of safety data.
- Active Skin Infections: Avoid treatment if you have active acne, eczema, or other skin infections in the treated area.
- Allergies: Individuals with known allergies to any component of the treatment should consult with us beforehand.
