Polynucleotides – Beaconsfield
Polynucleotides is a non-invasive injectable skin rejuvenation treatment that regenerates the skin cells and produces a dramatic but subtle new appearance to the skin that is brighter, hydrated, plumper, smoother, and re-textured. Polynucleotides work quickly on all areas of the face and neck by stimulating the production of the skin’s collagen and Elastin. The anti-inflammatory properties of the polynucleotides have a large number of other benefits (as seen in the list below).
The results of the tiny injected polynucleotides treatment really are a natural and wonderful-looking skin enhancement for the complete face and/or neck.
While skin boosters provide immediate results such as plumping and hydration, polynucleotides go a step further by activating fibroblast cells within the skin.

What are Polynucleotides?
The polynucleotides (PN) that we use are derived from salmon DNA. Salmon DNA has unique and beneficial properties that closely resemble those found in human skin tissue. This makes them ideal for those wishing to stimulate cellular regeneration, enhance hydration, and support their overall skin health.
What areas of the body can be treated?
Polynucleotide treatments can be used on a variety of areas to address multiple skin concerns, such as:
Are Polynucleotides better than Profhilo?
Polynucleotides are similar to Profhilo and other skin boosters, but contain different properties. They can work on more areas, including all around the eyes as well as the chest and scalp. PNs can also work on sun damage. Just like Profhilo, the PNs will give a wonderful glow and plumpness to the skin, but they also significantly improve the skin’s texture, as well as smooth out fine lines above the lips and around the eyes. The results tend to last 6-9 months, depending on the quality and age of the skin being treated, whereas Profhilo would generally show results for around 3 months.
What is the downtime, and are there contraindication
Polynucleotide treatments are minimally invasive, and most of our patients can return to their normal activities immediately after the procedure. There might be some mild redness, swelling, or tenderness at the treated areas, but these effects typically subside within a few hours or a day. However, there are some contraindications to be aware of:

Frequently Asked Questions
Polynucleotide injections work by delivering regenerative molecules directly into the skin. These nucleotides promote the production of collagen and elastin, which are essential for maintaining youthful skin. By boosting the skin’s regenerative process, PN injections help restore skin firmness, elasticity, and overall radiance.
Polynucleotide injections are effective for a range of skin concerns, including:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Loss of skin elasticity and firmness
- Dull or uneven skin tone
- Sagging skin or mild skin laxity
- Dehydrated or dry skin
- Overall skin texture improvement
- Sun damage
- Acne Scars
The treatment begins with a consultation by our paramedical skin therapist to assess your skin’s needs. After a thorough cleansing, the polynucleotide solution is injected into the skin using a fine needle. The treatment is quick, typically taking around 30 minutes, depending on the areas being treated. A numbing cream may be applied to ensure comfort during the procedure.
One of the key benefits of polynucleotide injections is that there is minimal downtime. You may experience slight redness, swelling, or tenderness at the injection sites, but these side effects typically subside within a few hours to a day. Most of our clients resume normal activities immediately after the treatment.
For the best results, a series of 3 sessions in a course, spaced about 2 to 4 weeks apart, is typically recommended. Maintenance treatments may be advised every 6 to 12 months to sustain the rejuvenating effects of the treatment. However, you will notice clearer and brighter skin after just one session.
Yes, polynucleotide injections are safe. The treatment is non-invasive and uses naturally derived substances, making it suitable for most skin types. At Skin Revision, we have been performing skin boosters for many years with the very highest level of safety and success.
While results vary from person to person, many of our clients begin to see improvements in skin texture, hydration, and radiance after just one session. Full results typically appear within 1 to 2 months after the final treatment, with long-lasting benefits continuing for up to 6 months or more.
Most clients find polynucleotide injections to be relatively comfortable. A numbing cream is applied to the skin prior to the treatment to reduce any mild discomfort. While there may be slight pressure or a mild pinching sensation during the injections, the procedure is well-tolerated by our clients.
The results from polynucleotide injections can last for up to 6 months or longer, depending on your skin type and the specific concerns being addressed. For long-lasting results, maintenance sessions every 6 to 9 months are recommended to keep your skin looking youthful and rejuvenated.
