Sebaceous Hyperplasia
At Skin Revision, we can offer advanced treatment options for Sebaceous Hyperplasia, including the use of CryoPen, VeinAway or Plaxel Plasma. All the treatment options effectively treat Sebaceous Hyperplasia Cysts with minimal discomfort and downtime. Here’s how the treatments works:
- Consultation: The treatment process begins with a thorough consultation to assess your skin and determine if which treatmentis best for your particular Sebaceous Hyperplasia.
- Cryotherapy: The CryoPen device is used to apply a precise, controlled amount of extreme cold (liquid nitrogen) to the sebaceous hyperplasia cyst. The cold temperature freezes and destroys the excess glandular tissue.
- VeinAway: If the Hyperplasia is very small, VeinAway is the preferred option due to its precise heat cauterisation and thermocoagulation processes. The intense burst of heat nullifies the blood supply and cells within the lesion.
- Plaxel Plasma: Plasma is heat cauterisation and may work best on the larger Hyperplasia. The “true and real” Plasma nullifies the skin cells causing them to shrink and die off.
